Alzheimer Caregiver’s Support Group This support group is for anyone who is caring for or has concerns about a family member, friend or neighbor who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related Dementia. It is facilitated by Jan Woltz and meets the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 A.M. and the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. The group is sanctioned by the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana. The group goal is to lend support, provide education and share ideas through informal discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. The group is cosponsored by Tippecanoe County Council On Aging and Area IV Agency on Aging. Arthritis Support Group Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. at the Senior Center. Our facilitator is Judy Pellissier. Open to seniors who want support in handling their arthritis. Grief Group “A Time to Remember” is a grief support group open to anyone who has lost a loved one through death. It meets each Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. It is sponsored and led by Cyndy Yoder Wilcox from Hippensteel Funeral Home. Karen Hoffine is the assistant leader. Fibromyalgia Depression Support Group - NEW Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. Open to seniors looking for support in coping with depression as a result of Fibromyalgia. Diabetes Support Group - New Facilitator Our Diabetes Support Group meets the 1st Wednesday of every month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center. Our facilitator is Judith Jezierski, MSN, RN, Chair of the Department of Nursing with St. Joseph's College and Associate Director at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Man to Man This support group is for people with concerns about prostrate cancer. It meets at at the Senior Center on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Alcoholic Anonymous This support group meets every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Center.
