Supper ClubSupper Club is for any senior who would like to join other seniors for a nice friendly dinner. Everyone buys their own dinner. We dine out together the first Thursday of every month at different restaurants within 60 miles of Lafayette. We meet at the Senior Center at the appointed time and we all ride together OR you can provide your own transportation and meet us at the restaurant. For "in town" restaurants, reservations are at 5:30 p.m. and for "out of town" restaurants, reservations are at 6:30 p.m. We leave the Senior Center in plenty of time to get the the restaurant on time. When you sign up, you will be told when and where to meet. If you need a ride from home to the Senior Center for Supper Club or a ride home after Supper Club, Care-A-Van can provide transportation if you call at least 72 hours in advance. It is a wonderful night out and a nice break from daily routine. You may make new friends, see the old friends and have a great dinner! A member of the TCCA staff will accompany the group as well as two drivers. Please do not tip the staff or the drivers but again, your donations to TCCA (given to the TCCA staff person, usually Jackie Shipp, Kim Short or Alison Greene), will help pay for our travel expenses. How To Sign Up - sign up by the first Monday of the month, a month before each dinner. You can sign up by telephone, email or visit - first come first served. We can only provide 24 seats on the Care-A-Van but if you drive yourself we still need to know you are coming so we can reserve you a seat at the restaurant. There is no charge for transportation on Care-A-Van but a donation is certainly appreciated to pay for gasoline, the drivers, and vehicle maintenance.
